UNIQUE DETACHED HOUSE

Log houses built according to the customer's wishes in collaboration with our architects.

  • Healthy indoor air: logs breathe naturally and maintain a balanced indoor humidity without mechanical regulation.

  • Natural and ecological: Logs are a renewable material, and a log building acts as a carbon store throughout its life cycle.

  • Durable and long-lasting: a properly built log house will last for decades, even centuries.

  • Energy efficient and modern: Modern log houses combine traditional materials with state-of-the-art technology and energy-efficient solutions.

Logs can even be turned into a semi-detached house

The semi-detached house is perfect for families, groups of friends or as an investment. Log construction ensures living comfort on both sides - the naturally breathable material improves acoustics and creates healthy indoor air even in the tightest living spaces.

You can build a semi-detached house with your own entrances and private courtyards - or even a more integrated floor plan for communal living.

Frequently asked questions about log houses

  • Yes. We offer house deliveries in different stages of delivery, including ready-to-move-in, ready-to-decorate and house package, according to the customer's needs.

  • A log house can be heated with a variety of heating systems, such as wood heating, geothermal heating and air-source heat pumps. The choice depends on the use and location.

  • Modern compression-free structures prevent the log from buckling, allowing for a freer design without structural concerns.

  • The breathability of logs refers to the ability of wood to absorb and release moisture naturally - this helps to maintain a comfortable indoor moisture balance all year round. The breathable structure effectively prevents excessive moisture and stale air, improving air quality and making living fresh and healthy without the need for mechanical ventilation or overheating.

The PUR (polyurethane glue) bonding of the laminated logs allows this natural breathability to be maintained, as it does not form a moisture barrier film. PUR glue is emission-free and safe, so it supports healthy indoor air even in dense and modern log structures.

  • Unlike lightweight timber houses, such as log houses or CLT structures, a log house is built from solid wood - a single natural material that acts as a load-bearing structure as well as the interior and exterior. Whereas log construction needs separate insulation, vapour barriers and internal cladding, logs naturally breathe, regulate humidity and even out temperature fluctuations without mechanical assistance. CLT structures often require additional insulation and lose some of the wood's breathability, while solid logs offer the benefits of a real timber house as such.

A log house provides an exceptionally healthy and natural indoor environment, which is proven to be good for respiratory health and living comfort. In addition, logs are an ecological and renewable material that stores carbon throughout their life cycle. When built correctly, a log house is extremely durable, and its timeless aesthetics make it an investment that retains and even enhances its value.

When you want durability, beauty and natural living in a wooden house, logs are by far the best choice.

  • Yes, you can, but the design must take into account the planning regulations. Many zoning districts have restrictions on things like façade materials, roof pitch or number of storeys. However, a log house can be designed to meet the requirements of the code - even in a modern urban environment.

  • We may be biased in our response, but absolutely. Modern log houses can be built with a modern design language, such as city corners, hidden fixings and simplified facades. Log houses also offer a warm, ecological and healthy alternative for small housing estates in urban areas.

  • It is possible. A log house using contemporary architecture can be designed to be linear, light, simple and modern - without the traditional "cottage feel". A city corner and horizontal lines complete the urban look.

  • Yes you can - and it's an increasingly popular choice. A log semi-detached house combines healthy indoor air, the natural properties of solid wood and modern architecture to create a functional unit, even in shared living.

Laminated logs are very well suited as a frame structure for semi-detached houses, as they are dimensionally stable, non-compressible and technically stable. Thanks to its weightlessness, the joints and structures of a semi-detached house remain stable, which is important at the interface between two dwellings.

A log semi-detached house can be designed with a modern look, making it suitable for an urban or zoned area - for example, with a city corner and modern details.
