Villa Sydän at the Lempäälä Housing Fair is a bold log home where architecture, community spirit, and modern living come together to form a harmonious whole. The heart-shaped building demonstrates what can be achieved when demanding design, technical expertise, and high-quality log construction come together.
In this home, three generations live side by side in their own homes, yet close to one another. A family of four lives in one wing of the house, and the grandparents in the other. The complex also includes a separate space for the daughter, who is coming of age, offering her a safe opportunity to practice independent living in her own peace and quiet.
Villa Sydän is built from Finnish non-warping spruce laminated logs, which allow for striking architecture, large glass surfaces, and meticulous details.
